Aitzaz â€˜not too excited about judges restoration by Aug 14â€™

President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Ch Aitzaz Ahsan Friday said he is not too excited about the judgesâ€™ restoration by the given deadline of August 14. Talking to a private TV channel at Lahore airport before leaving for Multan, he said about 83 to 86 percent population wants to see the deposed Chief Justice reinstated. â€œOur peaceful struggle will continue to the objectives are achieved and that the lawyers movement will now gain momentum,â€ Aitzaz said.

No difference in present, past rulers: Qazi

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that the present rulers were obeying President Musharrafâ€™s orders, therefore, there was no difference between the past and present rulers. The US and Australia on Friday urged Pakistan to do more to control militant activities in its border areas to stem the growing insurgency in Afghanistan.
