Aitzaz ‘not too excited about judges restoration by Aug 14’

President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Ch Aitzaz Ahsan Friday said he is not too excited about the judges’ restoration by the given deadline of August 14. Talking to a private TV channel at Lahore airport before leaving for Multan, he said about 83 to 86 percent population wants to see the deposed Chief Justice reinstated. “Our peaceful struggle will continue to the objectives are achieved and that the lawyers movement will now gain momentum,” Aitzaz said.

No difference in present, past rulers: Qazi

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that the present rulers were obeying President Musharraf’s orders, therefore, there was no difference between the past and present rulers. US, Australia press Pakistan on Afghan border security
